Report by Robert Barackman, directly after the concert.

Good morning everybody,

What a night! Thanks to Carl (Oglio - CvB) for the opportunity to hang in the lounge before the show. The show was great. Well worth the twelve year wait. Here is what happened:

KROQ's Richard Blade introduced the band and threw shirts at people.

A video played, showing a name plate saying "Walt Disney," then the camera panned over to a person's body, panning up the white shirt and tie to the face of Ron Mael, who lip-synced to "When You Wish Upon A Star." Then Ron came on stage and synced "Heigh-Ho." Tammy then came out, then Ron got behind his keyboard and started to play, then Russell made his entrance.

Started with #1 Song in Heaven, that transitioned into Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth.

Next came the Plagiarism version of Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat.

Something For the Girl With Everything

Funny Face (Plagiarism)

Then came the brand new song from the upcoming album called "Balls".
Awesome song. (All you need is balls.....)

Beat the Clock

Lets Go Surfing

Falling In Love With Myself Again

Popularity

Its A Knockoff

Do Re Mi, which made an awesome transition to the new version of...

Angst in My Pants

Cool Places

When Do I Get To Sing My Way

(When I Kiss You) I Hear Charlie Parker Playing The place was really rocking now. Everybody dancing!

This Town Aint Big Enough for Both of Us followed by thunderous applause as they left the stage.

Encore #1 was "for the L.A. fans": I Wish I Looked A Little Better

Encore #2 Amateur Hour, ending the night with a slightly watered down version of

Change.

Thrown in the show was Ron and his power of positive thinking, and Rex the Wonderdog doing famous scenes from Brando movies. Russell did thank the "internet people" and those that came a long way to be there. All in all, a great show. It will take me quite a while to come down from the high I'm experiencing right now. Interested in hearing what others thought.

Rob.
